Turtle Jack's - Proven, Consistent Performance - 3 Drummies

Nothing like the NCAA Final Four Basketball Championship Game between Kentucky and UCONN to get The Wingophile in the mood for, hmm...wings! And you can't go wrong at Turtle Jack's. We ordered "fryers", (the smaller-sized wings) plain (no breading, of course) with Extreme New York Butter, which I think is one of the best Buffalo-style sauces available these days, outdone perhaps only by the Anchor Bar Buffalo's Original Sauce. For an added touch, we decided to order them "convected", which meant they were touched up briefly in the convection oven for added crispiness. I thought the convecting took away some the taste and presence of the New York Butter, but the wings were still a respectable "Hot" in terms of spiciness, crispy (maybe to a fault) and were well-accompanied by a solid blue cheese dip, highlighted by the very rare presence (in Canada) of large, glorious chunks of actual blue cheese. 3 Drummies but lose the convection add-on - savour these little beauties with Extreme NY Butter, or, if you favour your wings "Medium", go with the Regular New York Butter. You know I'll be back. The Wingophile's rating: Three Drummies
