Burlington Golf & Country Club - Burlington ON
Sampled the wing fare here after 18 holes on this classic Stanley Thompson track.
Burlington's kitchen has a well-earned reputation for good eats.
Like a golf shot lacking full commitment, the wings came up a little short of the target.
They were good-sized, perhaps a little larger than optimal. Good quality wing-meat, nicely cooked and crispy on the outside.
What, pray tell, was the problem, you ask?
They came plain, with the sauce on the side.
The sauce was interesting, but could not be confused for Buffalo wing sauce, let alone my beloved Hot NY Butter.
And dipping or rolling my wings in a side of sauce is not something I signed up for.
Toss them in your Buffalo best, right out of the dryer basket or, better yet, out of the oven after the fryer. Then toss them again.
Otherwise, prepare to settle for 2 Drummies.
