Southcote 53 Tap & Grill - Ancaster ON
Friday afternoon old-timers' shinny hockey - a Canadian tradition made even more enjoyable by a post-game glass or two of cold beer.
And what about some wings to go with that beer?
Uhh, yes.
From the moment they arrived at the table, these wings did not disappoint.
Some of the best-looking chicken wings I have encountered of late and the sauce and coating also looked outstanding - it almost made the wings too pretty to eat. Almost.
I patiently awaited a refill on my beer and then, fully-armed, I got down to work.
Well-cooked with just the right flavor and heat level on the Buffalo hot sauce - lip-smacking good.
No blue cheese dipping sauce or celery/carrots - but the french fries were outstanding!
Friday afternoons will never be the same - at least until hockey wraps up for the summer in April.
